PINC Challenges and Inspires with Innovative Thinkers
People. Ideas. Nature. Creativity. Better known as PINC, this unique event, now in its fifth year, brought together 12 global thinkers on our local Sarasota Opera House stage, presenting their forward-thinking initiatives to an appreciative audience.

Creativity.) conference has grown into a yearly celebration for the inquisitive and forward-thinking, the passionate and the bold, bringing speakers from around the world to open their hearts and minds to the audience.
Creative Conference Returns for Fifth Year in December
The creative conference PINC (People, Ideas, Nature, Creativity) will return for its fifth year from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6. The event, created by DreamLarge, the philanthropic arm of the web development company AtLarge, and presented by Ringling College of Art and Design, is intended to present a diverse selection inspiring, creative speakers.

Tickets for Creative All-Day Conference Go on Sale Friday
Tickets for this year’s PINC (People, Ideas, Nature and Creativity) conference go on sale at noon on Friday, Sept. 1. The annual event presents a mix of thought-provoking and informative talks, stories and visual presentations. This year’s iteration includes internationally known graphic designers, artists, architects, food entrepreneurs and more.
Unique Speakers Provide Spark at PINC Conference
For the third straight year, an eclectic, quirky, unpredictable international lineup of speakers took turns offering pep talks on the human condition, ominous reality checks and glimpses of the future in 20-minute stanzas. For those who ponied up $425 a ticket, the nine-hour experience included three meals and, for the third straight year, according to host Anand Pallegar, the event sold out all 540 seats.

The People, Ideas, Nature and Creativity conference is scheduled for Dec. 8, with 16 international speakers of “singular accomplishment in widely varied fields” at the Sarasota Opera House.

The local creative community attended the premier of “Design Disruptors” documentary at Louies Modern.
A Sarasota Version of TED Talks Inspires Ideas
In 1999, the van Lindonks launched PINC — People, Ideas, Nature and Creativity — as an annual, daylong conference in Zeist, Holland, mimicking the TED format with a series of presentations by speakers from diverse disciplines and backgrounds. In late 2014, PINC made its American debut with a sold-out event at the Florida Studio Theatre in downtown Sarasota. At the third annual conference in December, PINC’s speaker lineup will include an “explanation designer,” “artographer” and professor of animal science.
